The Watch & Movement

Omega Chronometre reference 2364. It is rare to find watches that are 80 years old and this stunning! This piece dates back to 1946. Inside is the trusty calibre 30T2 manual wind movement.

They are becoming rare to find, and even more challenging in this condition and original. Fully working and well maintained.

It has a beautiful, understated, creamy white dial with raised gold Roman numerals at 12, 4, 8, and 10 and gold dots for the other hours. A small sub-second dial as well as the words Omega logo and chronometer Omega on the dial are clean and easy to read. Many watches from the 40s are now very worn and/or have been repainted; this one has not and is in excellent overall condition. Although there is a small blemish at 10, which has been stabilised and touched up,
Included is an extract from Omega's archives that provides details of this rare watch: This is shown in the picture gallery and confirms that the production date was 1946, with the manually accessible archives indicating that the movement was made in 1944.

Case size is 33mm, with a lug to lug width of 40.6mm and thickness of 8.8mm. Lug width is 17mm.

What’s Included

This Omega comes on it’s generic leather strap and buckle, suiting the watch nicely! Although this piece doesn't come with it's original box or papers, it does come with it's Omega archive paperwork. This is an item you can request from Omega at a cost for their watches, helping to provide clarity on a watch.

We tend to not polish our watches before listing for sale, this is because we have always preferred to keep as much metal on the watch as possible and preserve the shape. We are able to offer a polish as a free service, just let us know if you wish for this to be done and we can have our watchmaker complete. This will add 4-5 working days to dispatch.

Part Exchange

We always prefer this! Being enthusiasts, the more watches we get to handle, the better. We're always on the hunt for new and interesting pieces! Please get in touch with the watch you have, along with as much information as you can such as the reference & any photos - We'd love to give you a price.
